Lacquerware
The award-winning lacquerware products are imported from designers in Vietnam. The range is made from compressed wood fibres and resin. The unique "lines" are hand painted by craftsmen over silver foil leaf. Many coats of coloured and clear lacquer are then applied. This process is very labour intensive with each layer requiring sanding and polishing between applications of paint. The results are beautiful designs in vibrant and rich colours
